The Importance of a Fuel System Service Checkup

Being able to spot trouble with the fuel pump will go a long way in helping you avoid being stranded somewhere on the side of the road. One of the early warning signs of fuel pump issues is when you feel the car sputtering at high speeds. Maybe you are doing 60 mph, but the rpm gauge is going up and down like you're pressing the accelerator. This could be a serious fuel pump issue that needs to be addressed.

While the engine not starting could be a sign of a dead battery or other issues, it might be an indication the fuel pump has stopped sending gasoline to the engine. When the battery appears to be fine, you might want to have the fuel pump inspected. At the first signs of trouble with the fuel pump, head over to our Nissan parts and repair shop so one of our technicians can inspect the fuel system.
